  • Studied Chemistry at the Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich

  • Worked for 4 years as a research assistant at the Institute for Biochemistry of the Ludwig Maximilian University while preparing the graduate thesis (Diplomarbeit) and dissertation in the field of molecular biology/genetic engineering
  • Awarded doctor's degree in 1986 for a thesis on research of molecular fundamentals of viral activity
  • Has been working in intellectual property at Weickmann & Weickmann since 1986
  • Further professional training by, inter alia, studying “European Intellectual Property Law”, graduated with the degree of “Master of Laws”
